Charming Victorian Style Cheese Dish in Blue and White with a Crackle Finish
This antique is in pristine condition. Cheese dishes became popular in Victorian times as they kept cheese from drying out and they kept the smell in.
This dish is marked, but the source is unknown. There is a crackle finish and a blue and white floral design appear to be stamped. I have no provenance of this piece, but I believe this is a high-quality hand-made replica of a Victorian Design. The pattern appears to be stamped with paint (not printed) and handmade, but I don't believe it is Victorian.
