This is a horse-hair carriage blanket from the early 1900s. It was a beautiful bright rose design and was made by the Stroock Company. It is incredibly heavy and has weighted corners.
The center of the blanket is in beautiful condition but there is some slight wear on one edge, pictured here.
Dimensions: 66" x 46"
S. Stroock & Co. was founded in 1866 in New York by Samuel Stroock. They made carriage robes, which are lap blankets to keep you warm on carriage rides.
